State Safety Program (SSP)
Introduction
- This allows both civil aviation oversight authorities and service providers to proactively deal with safety risks.
Objectives
After successful completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Provide recommendations for the SSP legal and institutional framework;
- Develop the Plan for SSP implementation;
- Develop a Strategy for Safety Promotion;
- Use supporting tools and processes needed to enable safety data analysis;
- Apply processes with appropriate tools to State safety risk management; and
- Establish mechanism for State safety performance management.

Prerequisite
- Participants must have basic technical aeronautical knowledge and a minimum of two years experience in flight operations (training, pilots, flight operation officers, cabin safety officers, etc.), maintenance and airworthiness of aircraft, aircraft design and manufacture, air traffic control or aerodrome operations in a civil aviation administration or the aviation industry.
