Approach Control Procedural Refresher

Introduction

Goal

Refresh and update knowledge, skills and attitude of the participants in provision of approach Control procedural Services according to ICAO SARPs and the related Civil Aviation Regulations.

Objectives

 Upon completion the course, the trainees will be able to:

• Provide standard separation to IFR flights in approach control zone
• Control traffic executing Instrument Approach Procedures.
• Coordinate flight movements to adjacent ATS units.
• Control and manage arriving and departing traffic within the approach control zone
• Control traffic in emergency or abnormal situation.

• Passing the ATS Induction course Code 051
• Passing the ATS Aerodrome Control course Code 052
• Experience in Aerodrome traffic control
