• It introduces the main environmental impacts of airport operations and outlines effective strategies and implementation frameworks to manage those impacts in line with local and global sustainability goals.

Objectives

Upon the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Identify the principal environmental impacts associated with airport operations.
• Recognize the importance of aerodrome environmental management.
• Address environmental impacts, risks and challenges including pollution and emissions on the local and global levels. 
• Assess the level of environmental compliance status of an aerodrome.
• Develop a standard model for transforming an aerodrome into a green aerodrome.
