
Aerodrome and procedural approach Refresher
Introduction
This course provides Aerodrome / Approach Procedural controllers with the updated n knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to maintain and reinforce the required capabilities to control air traffic within aerodrome / approach zone effectively and efficiently in accordance with ICAO SARPs and national regulations.
Objectives
After having successfully completed this course, the trainees will be able to:
1. Update knowledge on the latest regulations, technologies, and best practices in Aerodrome and procedural Approach Control.
2. Manage Aerodrome departing and arriving traffic on and in the vicinity of an aerodrome
3. Review and reinforce the necessary skills to conduct safe, efficient aerodrome and approach control in a procedural environment in adherence to the established rules and regulations.
4. build sequencing techniques for the traffic arriving to the aerodrome.
5. Provide standard separation to IFR flights operating in the control zone.
6. Control traffic executing Instrument Approach Procedures.
7. Handle the aircraft in emergency or abnormal situation.
8. Coordinate flights to adjacent ATS units.

Prerequisite
- Participants should have obtained ATS courses of 051, 052 and 053.
- Participants should have ATC Aerodrome license as well as Approach procedural.
