Airport Certification


Introduction

This course covers the basic concepts and steps involved in certification of the airport. This training is most beneficial for aerodrome management and operational-level personnel at international airports, whose task is to ensure that the process used in aerodrome certification is consistent with ICAO provisions.


Objectives

Upon completing this course, you will have the skills to:

1)    Assure airport compliance with the mandatory certification of airport.

2)    Understand the relevant Standards and Recommended Practices of ICAO.

3)    Review key topics in the Manual on the Certification of Aerodromes

4)    Understand the certification regulatory system, certification model regulations and procedures

5)    Identify and measure the impacts of the certification requirements on the operations of an aerodrome

6)    Understand and fulfill the respective roles and responsibilities of the aerodrome operator and the regulator
