Introduction

  • This Course demonstrate the basic Requirement of Annex14 Vol. II According to ICAO SARPS

Objectives

  • Provide the participants with theoretical and practical knowledge of heliport planning, and Certification\ acceptance process; this course provides the participants with an understanding of the fundamental principles of heliport design according to the international civil aviation organization regulations
  • Implement the Annex 14 specifications related to surface-level heliports and elevated heliports.
  • Gain knowledge on how to configure, dimension and design the fundamental infrastructure elements of these types of heliports.
  • Understand and define heliports certification/acceptance process
  • Explain the heliport operation manual contents.
  • Describing heliport operation procedures
  • Explaining rescue and firefighting plans
  • Defining the Heliport safety management system 
  • Obstacle control 
  • Describing the procedures for the removal of disabled helicopters.
