Aeronautical Study and Risk Assessment


Introduction

  • An aeronautical study and Risk Assessment course is utilized at Aviation industry when the existence of non-compliances with the regulation are identified and assessed following a risk-based approach to ensure that aircraft continue to operate safely.
  • This course is designed to specifically examine the use of aeronautical studies providing a step-by-step explanation on how to identify of the issues, hazards, mitigation measures, and development of a final conclusion & recommendations.

Objectives

  • Identify aerodrome safeguarding requirements.
  • Understand Annex 14 obstacle limitation surfaces.
  • Use survey reports, statistical data and aeronautical information to prepare work file.
  • Study building restricted areas for CNS.
  • Recognize pans-ops procedures.
  • Understand required protection areas for flight procedures.
  • Know the required obstruction lights and marking denoting.
  • Learn how to steer the stakeholder’s meeting.
  • Analyze and assess the safety of all flight operations at an aerodrome in relation to other operational process.
  • Combine overall assessment of contributing risk factors and possible solutions.
