Air Transport Statistics
Introduction
Participants will be introduced to some of the most important data series. They will also learn where the data originates, how the different data series may relate to each other and how to verify that the data submitted conforms to the instructions and definitions pertaining to each data series presented.

Gain a deeper knowledge of the Air Transport Statistics programs.
Learn about current standards, concepts and methodologies for the compilation of traffic statistics
Be briefed about statistics from other organizations such as ACI and CANSO
Be able to identify and interpret the traffic statistics.
Compare the differences in traffic statistics from the various sources
Know how to effectively use statistics for airline industry monitoring, to identify trends, weaknesses and opportunities
Be able to benchmark how your national carriers are performing in relation to competitors
Learn more about the gathering of statistics on employment, financial results, environmental protection and safety
Understand the work of the ICAO Economic Analysis Departments doing studies which provide valuable information such as global and regional industry trends, the impact of regulatory changes, environmental policy and measures supporting Strategic Objectives.
