- Explain in detail how Annex 14 is used by Regulators, Airport Planners, and Safety Personnel to ensure Standards are maintained.
- Learn Annex-14 Obstacle Limitation Surface (OLS) Safeguarding and Control of Obstacles
- Recognize the operational impact of penetrating each surface of OLS.
- Learn obstruction Lights Specifications and Lighting / Noise mitigations
- Explain how to manage non-compliance while maintaining safety
- Apply the Standards and Recommendations of Annex 14 to resolve practical problems.
- Gain practical experience of working with Annex 14.
- Discuss the applicability and the definitions used throughout ICAO Annex 14.
- List aerodrome standards and recommended practices related to Aerodrome Data.
- Identify the harmonization of the ICAO requirements of the design and operation of the airfield physical characteristics, visual aids, and services, which pilots and airlines can operate to aerodromes that are similar in nature in a global sense.
- Understand the Standards and recommended practices (specifications) that prescribe obstacle limitation surfaces to be provided for at aerodromes.
- Learn OLS Software used to assess aerodrome obstacles.
