Aerodrome Obstacles Evaluation and Airspace Management


Introduction

The course aims to provide Aerodrome Safety Obstacle Assessors with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to perform the proposed and existing structure assessment to safeguard aerodromes in efficient and effective manner in accordance with Civil Aviation Regulations (ECAR 139) and ICAO standards.

Objectives

By the end of the course, the participants should be able to:

• Identify Obstacle Limitation surfaces for the aerodrome.

• Assess the obstacles within the Obstacle Limitation Surfaces for a specified aerodrome.

• Determine the required mitigations for the penetrated obstacles.
