Introduction
Objectives
The course provides Participants with the competencies in establishing and maintaining a Dangerous Goods safety program.
Passing the course successfully , Participants will be able to :
- Understand how the safe transport of cargo (including dangerous goods) according to ICAO SARPs and a State Safety Program.
- Identify the CAA roles and responsibilities in managing the safe transport of air cargo (including dangerous goods) and the supporting supply chain.
- Identify, classify, pack, mark, label and document dangerous goods in accordance with the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air ,
- Understand the legal obligations related to the transport of dangerous goods by air;
- Apply safety management principles to improve safety performance of operations related to the transport of air cargo including dangerous goods.
- Evaluate an operator's capability to safely transport cargo by air (including dangerous goods).
- Understand the legal obligations and regulations related to the transport of dangerous goods by air;
- Understand the transport of dangerous goods Procedures approval, and certification.
- Evaluate an operator's capability to safely transport cargo by air (including dangerous goods).
