Air Traffic Management (ATM) Incident and Accident Investigation Techniques

Introduction

• This course will provide participants with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to participate in formal ATM incident investigations in an ATC workplace in accordance with ICAO Annex 13, ICAO Document 9426 and ICAO Document 9756.

Objectives

• Collect and preserve evidence
• Conduct interviews
• Analyze evidence
• Appraise results from reconstruction
• Provide causal factors and safety recommendations

Who Sould Attend

• Air Traffic Control Supervisors and Senior Air Traffic Control Officers who may be ask to perform the task of Shift Supervisor and Aeronautical Informational Service Staff.

Prerequisite

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a licensed ATS provider or equivalent appropriate aviation industry qualification (e.g. avionics engineer, aircrew personnel etc.).
