High Frequency Radio Telephony (HF/RT)


Introduction

  • Trainees will understand the AMSO procedures used in high frequency radio stations and new Technology systems in the international aeronautical telecommunication field

  • Upgrading their performance and be able to use the new technology related to Aeronautical Mobile Services Operations including new SELCAL

Be familiar with:

  • All related definitions in Annex 10 Volume ll and other related Annexes
  • General (AMS) operating Procedures
  • Transmitting techniques including microphone techniques
  • RTF call sign for both Aeronautical stations and Aircraft stations
  • Test and replay used by aircraft stations on HF family frequencies 
  • Handling short and long HF messages
  • Distress and Urgency conditions communications
  • Knowing perfectly how to establish SELCAL and SELCAL procedures
  • Knowing advantages of ATN Air/Ground and Ground/Ground Applications ADS, CPDLC, FIS,AMHS and AIDC
