Introduction

Objectives

At the end of this module the trainees will be able to:

  • Describe the safety objectives of the RVSM.
  • Scan the global system performance specification.
  • Demonstrate the global height-keeping performance specification.
  • Determine the RVSM height-keeping performance.
  • Demonstrate the airworthiness approval.
  • Confirm the state RVSM approval.
  • Draw approach to the general procedures for RVSM
  • Check the flight crew operating procedures.
  • Maintain the ATC procedures.
  • Monitor the requirement for the RVSM system.
  • Monitor the technical performance of RVSM system.
  • Assessment and evaluation of operational errors and in-flight contingencies.
  • Scan the responsibilities of the authorities to implement RVSM

  • Air Traffic Control Supervisors and Senior Air Traffic Control Officers who may be ask to perform the task of Shift Supervisor and Aeronautical Informational Service Staff.
