Objectives

At the end of the course Participants will be able to:

  • Know the difference between elevated and inset light fittings and how to define their location.
  • Differentiate between approach lighting systems.
  • Know Specifications and installation methods for PAPI system.
  • Learn about constant current regulators and calculating the suitable size for each light circuit.
  • Learn about ground lighting equipment and their installation \.
  • Choose the correct power system and the secondary system that achieve ICAO recommendations.
  • Learn about automatic control systems for airport lighting systems.
  • Learn about standby power generation for supporting primary power systems.
