
Meteorology for Air Safety Investigations
Introduction
- This course will provide participants with the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to participate in formal ANS including Meteorology incident investigations in an ATC workplace in accordance with ICAO Annex 13 and SARPs
Objectives
Upon completion of this course you will be able to:
- Describe basic processes underlying the management of safety
- Summarize a Model of Accident Causation
- Explain basic concepts of Human Factors in aviation and the related models
- Identify the training requirements for ANS including Meteorology safety personnel to support ICAO Annex 13 investigations and SARPs
- Demonstrate the importance of safety reporting program for internal safety investigations
- Apply tools for the conduct of ANS Internal Safety Investigation
- Review the process of a State accident/incident investigation under ICAO Annex 13 and SARPs
